The Change of Command at No.05 Air Defense Radar Squadron (ADRS), SLAF Station Palavi held today (13 June 2025) and the traditional handing over/taking over parade was held at the squadron premises. The outgoing Commanding Officer Wing Commander PGUN Dharmapala BSc (Def Stu), MTS handed over the command to Squadron Leader RGC Lenora MSc (Def & Strat Stu), LLB, psc.

The new Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader RGC Lenora previously served as the Officer Commanding Operations at Air Defense Command and Control Center (ADC&CC) at SLAF Station Mirigama. The outgoing Commanding Officer Wing Commander PGUN Dharmapala has been appointed as the Commanding Officer at No. 01 Air Defence Radar Squadron SLAF Base Katunayake.
