SLAF STATION BATTICALOA ENHANCES PRESCHOOL FACILITIES WITH NEW ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK

The opening ceremony of the newly established Administrative Building and Play Station of the preschool at SLAF Station Batticaloa was held today (26 June 2025). This event marked the fulfillment of a long-standing requirement for a dedicated administrative space to support the preschool's operations.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Chairperson of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, who attended as the Chief Guest upon the invitation of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Sarath Bandara. The event was also graced by the presence of the Director Agriculture and Welfare Projects, Air Commodore Erandika Gunawardhane, spouses of the Air Force Board of Management and members of the Lions Club Batticaloa.
The ceremony featured a vibrant series of cultural performances, including dances performed by preschool kids, highlighting their talent and enthusiasm.
The newly opened administrative block comprises a dedicated teachers’ office, a sick room and a storage room, significantly enhancing the infrastructure and support services available for the preschool.
