The Regiment Special Forces of the Sri Lanka Air Force celebrated its 8th anniversary on the 8th of July 2011 at SLAF Morawewa.

With the participation of all present and past members of the unit, a Pirith chanting ceremony was conductied which was followed by an Alms giving to the Maha Sangha the next day. An Elle tournament was also held among the personnel of the station.

The Commanding Officer Wing Commander CJ Batagoda graced the occasion whilst Commanding Officer of the Regiment Special Forces Squadron Leader Wasana Wimaladharma was also present.
