
SLAF AIR DEFENCE COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTRE MARKS 19 YEARS OF NATIONAL SERVICE

The Air Defence Command and Control Centre (ADC&CC) at SLAF Station Mirigama commemorated its 19th anniversary recently. Established in 2006, the ADC&CC serves as the nerve centre of the National Air Defence Network, with the primary mandate of safeguarding national airspace.
Since its inception, the ADC&CC has played a pivotal role in enhancing national security through its continuous contributions and technological advancements. Over the past 19 years, it has evolved significantly, strengthening its operational capabilities to meet the demands of a dynamic and ever-changing security environment.
The anniversary celebrations commenced with the customary working parade, and the day's events concluded with a friendly cricket match held at the station sports ground, which saw enthusiastic participation from all personnel.
In parallel with the celebrations, a community service initiative was conducted on 27 June 2025 in the form of a temple cleaning campaign within the station premises.
