INTER UNIT HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
The Inter Unit Handball Championship 2025 was held at Rifle Green Ground at SLAF Station Colombo from 22 July 2025 to 24 July 2025. The final matches and Awards Ceremony took place at the Air Force Health Management Centre, Thummulla, today (25 July 2025). The Director General Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Gihan Seneviratne, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
SLAF Trade Training School Ekala clinched the Men’s Championship, while Combat Training School Diyatalawa secured the Women’s Championship. Further, SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura and SLAF Trade Training School Ekala emerged as the Men’s and Women’s Runners-Up respectively.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman SLAF Handball, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena, Director Sports, Air Commodore Suresh Jayasinghe, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri, Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe, members of the Air Force Sports Council, senior officers and other invitees.
