COMMANDER’S INSPECTION OF SLAF STATION KOGGALA
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, conducted the Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Station Koggala during the evening hours today (05 August 2025). Upon his arrival, the Commander was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Priyadarshana Hettiarachchi.
During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas of the Station. In his address, he emphasized the vital role the Station has played in rescue operations, support to holiday homes and tourism-related events. He also outlined his vision for enhancing the SLAF’s technological capabilities to improve operational effectiveness and the overall proficiency of service personnel.

Concluding the visit, the Commander commended the Commanding Officer and his team for their dedication and efforts in preparing the Station to meet the high standards expected during a Commander’s Inspection.
