The Graduation Ceremony of the No. 79 Junior Command and Staff Course was held today (11 August 2025) at the auditorium of the Junior Command and Staff College, SLAF Academy China Bay. The event marked the successful conclusion of a comprehensive 14 weeks academic programme, attended by 29 Officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force and one Officer from the Sri Lanka Navy and One Officer from Bangladesh Army.

The Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Airforce, Air Vice Marshal DBV Weerasinghe graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

In his address to the graduates, Air Vice Marshal DBV Weerasinghe highlighted the importance of continuous professional growth and the pursuit of excellence in military leadership. He encouraged the Officers to embody the highest principles of integrity, professionalism and service in their future appointments. He further commended the graduates for their dedication, perseverance and successful completion of the challenging course and extended his sincere congratulations on their achievements.
