SLAF ACADEMY EXPANDS WELFARE INFRASTRUCTURE WITH OPENING OF CABANA 2
The Malay Cove Tide Watch Warrant Officers’ and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ (WOs’ and SNCOs’) Cabana 2 was ceremonially declared open yesterday (28 August 2025), further strengthening the welfare infrastructure of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay. This newly established cabana, dedicated to WOs and SNCOs, is located adjacent to Cabana 1, which was ceremonially inaugurated by the Commander of the Air Force during the Commander’s Inspection of the Academy earlier this year.
The opening ceremony of Cabana 2 was graced by the Commandant of the Academy, Air Commodore Amal Perera, in the presence of several senior officers. The facility stands as yet another significant welfare initiative of the SLAF, offering a modern, comfortable and well-equipped recreational space for Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.
