The SLAF Inter Unit Cycling Championship 2025 was held yesterday (29 August 2025) at SLAF Station Katukurunda. SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura clinched the Men’s Championship, while SLAF Academy China Bay claimed the Women’s Title. 

Regiment Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake and SLAF Trade Training School Ekala finished as runners up in the Men’s and Women’s categories, respectively. The event is held biennially among the SLAF Bases/Stations to promote cycling as a sport within the SLAF and select competent riders to represent SLAF.

Director General Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Gihan Seneviratne, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Chairman SLAF Cycling, Director General General Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Indika Wickramasinghe and Commanding Officer SLAF Station Katukurunda, Group Captain MP Abeywickrama, were also present at the event.
