INDIAN NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE DELEGATION VISITS AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS
A 16-member delegation from the Indian National Defence College (NDC) visited Air Force Headquarters today (01 September 2025). The delegation was headed by Major General Pawanpal Singh.
Prior to arriving at Air Force Headquarters, the delegation visited the Indian Peace Keeping Force Memorial at Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, where they paid floral tribute to the members of the Indian Peace Keeping Force who made the supreme sacrifice in Sri Lanka.
The head of the delegation, Major General Pawanpal Singh, along with a few members, called on the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera, where symbolic mementos were exchanged to mark the occasion.
Subsequently, the Commandant SLAF Academy China Bay, Air Commodore Amal Perera, conducted a presentation on the History, Post-Conflict Role and Challenges of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Demian Weerasinghe, Members of the Air Force Board of Management and Senior Officers were also present at the session.
