The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, conducted the Annual Commander's Inspection at SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport Katunayake today (06 September 2025). The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Nilindra Perera, where a ceremonial Street line was accorded upon his arrival.

During the course of the Inspection, the Commander visited the station Head Quarts, Electronic Section, Armoury, 31 Regt Wing, Airman Mess, Equipment Section, Welfare Shop, Clippers Salon, Main Grad Room, MT Section, Sports Section and other area of the Station.  

Furthermore, the Commander addressed all ranks of the Station after the Inspection. During his address, he expressed profound gratitude to all personnel and acknowledged their tireless efforts in maintaining the section at exceptionally high standards.
