The Newly Appointed IGP pays a Courtesy Call To Air Force Commander

A Guard of Honour was accorded to the newly appointed Inspector General
of Police NK Illangakoon at his official visit to Sri Lanka Air Force
(SLAF) Headquarters this afternoon (22nd July 2011).
On his arrival, he was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Colombo Air Commodore Vijith Gunarathne. Thereafter he was accorded with a Guard of Honour that was conferred by the Colour Squadron of SLAF which was commanded by Flight Lieutenant Asela Withana.
After the Guard of Honour, the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama welcomed the 33rd Inspector General of Police to the Air Force head quarters.
Official plaques were exchanged between the Police Chief and Commander SLAF in the Commander’s Office. The visitor also met with the Chief of Staff and the Board of Management of the SLAF at this occasion.
