The Change of Command at No. 61 Helicopter Flight - SLAF Base Ratmalana, took place with traditional Handing Over / Taking Over parade yesterday (29 September 2025) at Flight Premises. 

The new Flight Commander, Wing Commander MGH De Silva RWP and Bar, RSP and two Bars, Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc took over duties from Flight Commander, Group Captain KDWK Kodikara RSP and Three Bars, USP, BSc (Def Stu) MTS, MIM (SL).

The new Flight Commander was previously held the appointment of Officer Commanding Operations of No. 04 Helicopter Squadron.
