SLAF SHOWCASES HOMEGROWN TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS AT TECHNO 2025
The 37th Techno Exhibition (Techno 2025), organized by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), was held from 10 to 12 October 2025 at the BMICH under the theme “Engineering for a Smart Nation.” The exhibition showcased cutting-edge innovations and emerging technologies, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation. The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) proudly presented indigenously developed solutions, highlighting its engineering capabilities to the public.
At the SLAF pavilion, visitors experienced innovations reflecting the Force’s focus on research, development, and self-reliance. Key highlights included AI-based predictive maintenance systems to enhance aircraft reliability, locally assembled UAVs for reconnaissance, on-site fabrication demonstrations of aircraft and ground equipment components and sustainable, energy-efficient solutions aimed at reducing operational environmental impact.
Techno 2025 offered students, professionals, and technology enthusiasts a unique opportunity to interact with military engineers and explore the Tri-Force’s technological innovations.
