Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura emerged overall champions with 153 points in the Inter Unit Swimming Meet 2011 and also became champions of the men’s Water Polo Championship whilst SLAF Colombo secured the women’s water polo championship 2011 on 29th July 2011 at SLAF Base Katunayake.

Over 300 Airmen and women representing all Air Force Bases/Stations/ Units took part in various events which were held from 26th to 29th July 2011.

The Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake Air Commodore CR Gurusinghe, Chairman SLAF Swimming Air Commodore CP Welikala, the Commanding Officer Supply and Maintenance Unit Katunayake Group Captain JR Hemasingha, Group Captain Sanjaya Silva, Group Captain KR Eramudugolla also witnessed  the finals.
