AIRCRAFT SPARES DEPOT CELEBRATES 29TH ANNIVERSARY
The Aircraft Spares Depot proudly celebrated its 29th Anniversary yesterday (11 November 2025). The day’s events began with the customary morning parade, followed by an address delivered by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain RML Randeniya, to all officers, airmen, airwomen and civilian staff of the Depot.
A tree planting ceremony was subsequently held within the Depot premises, with the participation of all personnel, symbolizing growth and environmental stewardship. Following this, attendees proceeded to a nearby temple where a religious ceremony was conducted to invoke blessings for the Depot’s future endeavours. The ceremony featured a brief sermon, pirikara offering and pirith chanting.
