A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Corporal Ranasinghe WGS today (21 November 2025) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Madawala, Pujapitiya. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sigiriya, Group Captain Udara Andradi.

The event was attended by the Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Gladwin Atapattu, Director Ranaviru Welfare, Group Captain Dayan Sumanasekara , Commanding Officer SLAF Station Sigiriya, Group Captain Udara Andradi, Assistant Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, Flight Lieutenant Umayangana Gunarathna, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Station Sigiriya.
