The Karate senor national championships organised by the "Sri Lanka Karate Do Federation" was held on the 12th and 13th September 2009 at the Sports Ministry Indoor Stadium. The main purpose of the tournament was to choose suitable individuals to represent the country at International level Karate Tournaments.

Over 300 competent participants inclusive of 16 Air Force personal took part at this event in which they preformed praiseworthily. The results of the individual events are as follows.
