IAF C-130 AIRCRAFT CARRYING DISASTER RELIEF SUPPLIES ARRIVES IN SRI LANKA
A C-130 aircraft of the Indian Air
Force(IAF), carrying Disaster Relief Supplies provided by the Government
of India for families displaced by the adverse weather conditions
affecting the island, arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport,
Katunayake, early morning today (29 November
2025).
The aircraft delivered a consignment of essential items, including hygiene kits. Representing the High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, Counsellor (Development Cooperation), Mr. Maitrey Kulkarni and Assistant Defence Adviser, Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi, were present for the official handover of the Disaster Relief Supplies.
The Sri Lanka Air Force was represented by the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Lasith Sumanaweera, along with several other SLAF officers, who were present to receive the aid.
