ROTARY CLUB OF COLOMBO CENTENNIAL SUPPORTS SLAF HUMANITARIAN AND MEDICAL EFFORTS
The Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial today (24 December 2025) donated a consignment of medical items to the SLAF during a visit to SLAF Headquarters.
The donation is intended to support the SLAF’s ongoing humanitarian assistance and medical outreach programmes, which provide vital aid to communities affected by recent natural disasters and other emergencies. The medical supplies will be utilized by SLAF medical and relief teams to enhance their efforts in delivering timely assistance to affected civilians.
The donation was handed over by a delegation from the Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial, led by former Commander of the Air Force and Club Advisor, Air Chief Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala (Retd). The delegation included Club Treasurer, Air Vice Marshal Krishan Yahampath (Retd), Past President, Mr. Krishantha Perera, Club Advisor, Mr. Ranjan Amarasinghe, Club Secretary, Mr. Sherron Fernandupulle, Club Media Representative, Mr. Ganidu Poorna and Club Secretary, Mr. Andrew Pangoda.
The consignment was officially received on behalf of the SLAF by the Director General Health Services, Air Vice Marshal (Dr.) Lalith Jayaweera, who expressed sincere appreciation to the Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial for their generous and timely contribution. He highlighted that the donation would further strengthen the SLAF’s capacity to deliver medical care and humanitarian assistance to cyclone-affected communities during recovery efforts.
