The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama conducted the Annual Inspection of SLAF Unit Katukurunda today (05th August 2011).

At SLAF Unit Katukurunda Commanding Officer Wing Commander Suharshi Fernando received the Commander on his arrival to the Station and a Street Lining was conferred by Flight Lieutenant Suranga Wanigasekara.

During the inspection the Commander declared open a newly constructed Base Conference hall and a Welfare Shop outlet where servicemen as well as the personnel in the close vicinity can buy goods at reasonable prices.

Addressing all personnel of the station, the Commander encouraged them to carry out the good work and to maintain goodwill with civil personnel living around the station whilst maintaining the quality and high standards of the Air Force.
