Fourteen (14) Air Scouts trained at SLAF Base Anuradhapura were awarded the Chief Commissioner (CC) Badge today (03 January 2026). The awardees represented several leading schools in the Anuradhapura District.

The ceremony was held at SLAF Base Anuradhapura under the direction of Assistant Headquarters Commissioner, Group Captain Krishantha Perera, with the assistance of Assistant District Commissioner and Air Scout Master – Anuradhapura, Ex Warrant Officer UI Karunathilaka.

Parents of the Air Scouts attended the ceremony to witness the prestigious badge awarding. Also present were Assistant Headquarters Commissioner, Isuru Edirisinghe, Scout Master – Central College, and, Scout Master – Finance, Anuradhapura, Harshad Thajudin

The event was graced by the Base Commander, SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore Pradeep Piyarathna, highlighting the continued support of the Sri Lanka Air Force towards Air Scouting.
