NO. 01 L & R WING, SLAF ACADEMY CHINA BAY CELEBRATES 14TH ANNIVERSARY
No. 01 Leisure and Recreation (L&R) Wing of the SLAF Academy China Bay, marked its 14th Anniversary today (07 January 2026) with a series of social and recreational activities, organized under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Prageeth Samadasa. The celebrations were attended by all officers, airmen and civilian staff of the Wing.
The anniversary programme commenced with the customary Working Parade, which was reviewed by the Acting Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Chamara Senanayake.
As part of the community service initiatives in line with the anniversary celebrations, a Shramadana campaign was conducted on 20 December 2025 at Samudrasanna Viharaya, Kinniya and an almsgiving ceremony was also held at the same temple today (07 January 2026).
