A Bana preaching ceremony was conducted today (10 January 2026) for No. 57 Air Scout Troop at the Air Scout Headquarters, SLAF Guwanpura, to invoke blessings for the New Year. The sermon was delivered by the Most Venerable Pallemulle Soratha Thero, the resident monk of the International Vipassana Meditation Centre, Colombo 07.

The event was organised as an annual programme under the guidance of the Chairman of Air Scouting, Group Captain Paminda Jayawardana, and was held in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of Air Scouting, Air Commodore Ponnapperuma, with the assistance of senior Scout leaders.
