The Change of Command of the Sri Lanka Air Force Hospital Colombo took place today(12 January 2026), marking the appointment of a new Commanding Officer.

The traditional Handing Over/Taking Over Parade was held at the hospital premises with due military protocol. During the ceremony, the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain TVSS Alwis USP, MBBS (Sri Lanka), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), Dip (Av Med – USA), formally handed over the command of SLAF Hospital Colombo to Air Commodore PAV Padmaperuma, MBA, MD (Russia), Dip (Av Med – USA), ndc.
