NEPAL ARMY COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE DELEGATION VISITS AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS

A 15-member delegation from the Army Command and Staff College – Nepal visited Air Force Headquarters today (19 January 2026). The delegation was headed by Brigadier General Purna Bahadur Khatri.

The head of the delegation, Brigadier General Purna Bahadur Khatri, along with a few members, called on the Director General of Air Operations, Air Vice Marshal Dhammika Dias, on behalf of the Commander of the Air Force, during which symbolic mementos were exchanged to mark the occasion.

Subsequently, Wing Commander Rukshan Gamlakshage, conducted a presentation on the History, Post-Conflict Role and Challenges of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The Director General Training, Air Vice Marshal Thushara Weerarathne, Director General General Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Indika Wickremasinghe and Senior Officers were also present at the session.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
