SLAF WOMEN’S NETBALL TEAM CLINCHES EVA CUP ALL ISLAND OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
The EVA Cup All Island Open Netball Championship 2026, organized by the Colombo District Netball Association, was successfully held from 31 January to 01 February 2026 at the SLAF Rifle Green Sports Ground, Colombo.
Demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork and determination throughout the tournament, the Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Netball Team emerged as champions. In a closely contested and thrilling final, the SLAF team defeated the SL Army Women’s Netball Team by 41 points to 37 to secure the championship title.
Adding further prestige to the victory, SLAF player Corporal Rashmi Perera was adjudged the ‘Netball Queen' of the tournament in recognition of her outstanding individual performance.
