GRAND PRIZE WINNERS OF ‘SKY LEGACY’ RAFFLE DRAW RECEIVE CHEQUES FROM THE COMMANDER
The grand prize winners of the raffle draw for the ‘Sky Legacy’ Air Force Care Home Project, which was concluded on 24 February 2026, received their cheques today (08 April 2026) at Air Force Headquarters from the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, in a special ceremony. The occasion was attended by the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena and other senior officers.
The raffle draw was conducted as part of the fundraising efforts to establish a specialized care facility dedicated to providing retired Air Force personnel with the support and comfort they deserve in recognition of their service to the nation.
The three main prize winners include Squadron Leader HMTNB Herath who received Rs.1 million (Rupees One Million) and Flight Sergeant Jayarathne LPD who received Rs. 750,000.00 (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand) from SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura and Sergeant Adikari AMIH from SLAF Base Anuradapura, who received Rs. 500,000.00 (Rupees Five Hundred Thousand).
