AIR FORCE AWURUDU POLA – 2026
The Sri Lanka Air Force Awurudu Pola was successfully held today (10 April 2026) at the Athletics Ground of SLAF Base Katunayake, in view of the forthcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebrations.
The event was graced by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, along with the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
This event was organized by the Directorate of Welfare under the guidance of Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena.
Various internal vendors participated in the Awurudu Pola by offering a wide range of essential commodities required for the festive season at concessionary rates, providing great relief and convenience to service personnel and their families.
In addition to the internal participation, several external vendors also contributed to the success of the event by showcasing and selling clothing, food items, and other consumer goods. Notably, Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd participated with a special vehicle display and promotional offers, adding significant value and attraction to the event.
