SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT ORGANIZES CULTURAL RECEPTION FOR MRS. SARITA SINGH PRESIDENT AFFWA
The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a cultural reception for Mrs. Sarita Singh, the President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association and the loving spouse of the Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force at the Air Force Headquarters Officers’ Mess, Thummulla today (19 May 2026).
The event was attended by the spouse of the Defence Adviser of India in Sri Lanka, spouse of the Assistant Defence Adviser, senior members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and invited guests. The programme, organized under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, featured a variety of traditional Sri Lankan cultural performances presented by the SLAF Dance Troupe and Oriental Band, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Sri Lanka. Sinhala and Hindi song performances together with traditional dance items added colour and glamour to the occasion.
The cultural reception further strengthened the longstanding friendship, goodwill and cooperation shared between the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Indian Air Force.
