The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), made an official visit to SLAF Station Palaly on 26 May 2026 as part of his field visit to the Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna.

Upon arrival, the Deputy Minister was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly, Group Captain Suranga Seneviratne, together with all station personnel.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister addressed the officers and airmen, emphasizing the importance of performing duties with dedication, professionalism and integrity. He further mentioned the necessity of maintaining the highest standards of discipline while refraining from engaging in any illegal or corrupt activities.
