e-GP SYSTEM TRAINING PROGRAMME CONDUCTED AT AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS
A training programme on the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System was successfully conducted at Air Force Headquarters on 02 June 2026 under the guidance of the Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Gladwin Athapaththu and the Chief Procurement Officer, Group Captain Prageeth Samadasa.
Organized by the Procurement Division, the workshop brought together officers and airmen engaged in procurement-related duties across the Sri Lanka Air Force. The programme was designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical competencies in utilizing the e-GP platform while ensuring compliance with Government Procurement Guidelines.
The training session was conducted by Mr. Chameekara Ranathunga of the e-GP Secretariat, who served as the resource person. During the programme, participants received comprehensive guidance on the functionalities of the e-GP system, electronic bid evaluation procedures and best practices in public procurement.
The workshop provided valuable insights into modern procurement practices and highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability and efficiency in procurement processes.
