The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Sigiriya today (09 June 2026). The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Udara Andradi and was accorded a Street Line. The Commander awarded the Certificates of Commendation to the following personnel for their meritorious contribution to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.

During the course of the inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Station including Station Headquarters, No.47 Regt Wing, Hospitality Management School, Equipment section, Welfare shop, Electronics section, MT Section, MI Room, Sports Section, Airmen’s and Airwomen’s Mess and WOs’ and SNCOs’ Mess, Officers Transit Block, Main Guard Room and Tailoring Section. After visiting the sections Commander visited the Golf Course Pro-shop.
