The Hilton Bay Pavilion, a newly constructed all-ranks function and recreational area at the SLA Academy, China Bay, was declared open on 03 July 2026 by the Commandant of the Academy, Air Vice Marshal Amal Perera, in the presence of officers and other Academy personnel.

Constructed as part of the Academy's ongoing efforts to uplift the welfare facilities available to its personnel, the Hilton Bay Pavilion is nestled amidst the Academy's tranquil natural surroundings overlooking the picturesque China Bay. Thoughtfully designed to serve as a venue for official functions, social gatherings and recreational events, the pavilion is equipped with all the necessary modern facilities and amenities to accommodate a wide range of functions in a comfortable and scenic environment.
