AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON THE PREVENTION OF ILLEGAL INVESTING PLANS, ECONOMIC BREAKDOWN AND REBUILDING OF SRI LANKA ECONOMY
An awareness programme on the Prevention of Illegal Investing Plans, Economic Breakdown and Rebuilding of Sri Lanka Economy was successfully conducted at Air Force Headquarters today (06 July 2026).
The programme was organized on the initiative of the Legal Division of SLAF with the objective of enhancing participants' understanding of illegal investment schemes, the underlying causes of Sri Lanka's economic crisis and the strategies adopted to restore and strengthen the national economy. The event was attended by Directors, Base Commanders, Commanding Officers and nominated Air Force personnel.
The programme featured insightful presentations by Mrs. RMCHK Jayasinghe, Director of the Department of Supervision of Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and Dr. (Mrs.) SPYW Senadheera, Deputy Director of the Economic Research Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Drawing on their extensive expertise, the resource persons provided comprehensive presentations on preventing illegal investment schemes, the key factors that contributed to Sri Lanka's economic downturn, and the policy measures and reforms implemented to facilitate the country's economic recovery. Their presentations were further enriched with practical examples and real-world case studies, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
