The SLAF promptly responded to a fire that broke out at the Singer Showroom, located opposite the Mirigama Bus Stand yesterday (20 July 2026).

Upon receiving information regarding the incident, a team of 20 SLAF personnel from SLAF Station Mirigama, comprising members of the Regimental Special Forces (RSF) and the Disaster Assistance and Response Team (DART), was immediately deployed to the location to support the emergency response.

Working in close coordination with the Gampaha Fire Brigade and other emergency response agencies, the SLAF personnel assisted in bringing the fire under control while taking measures to prevent it from spreading to adjacent buildings.
