The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Browns EV (Pvt) Ltd, a leading electric vehicle company in Sri Lanka, and LOLC Finance PLC, a leading financial institution, on 04 September 2026 at Air Force Headquarters.

The MoU aims to facilitate the provision of a range of electric vehicles to serving and retired SLAF personnel at concessionary rates, further strengthening the welfare initiatives undertaken by the Sri Lanka Air Force for its present and former members.

On behalf of the respective organizations, Ms Pavithra Jayasekara, Director, Browns EV (Pvt) Ltd, and Mr Montini Warnakula, Chief Operating Officer, LOLC Finance PLC, signed the MoU, while Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena, endorsed the agreement on behalf of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

Director Agriculture and Welfare Projects, Air Commodore Erandika Gunawardena; Director Legal, Group Captain KDHC Katugampala; and staff officers of the Directorate of Welfare attended the occasion representing the Sri Lanka Air Force.

Representing Browns EV (Pvt) Ltd and LOLC Finance PLC were Mr Chaminda Dissanayake, Senior Manager, LOLC Finance PLC; Mr Vijitha Bandara, Executive Director, Browns EV (Pvt) Ltd; Mr Tharindu Premarathna, Head of Marketing, Browns EV; and Mr Pasindu Kumarage, Manager – Sales, Browns EV.
