The Sri Lanka Air Force Performing Arts Wing joined the United States Air Force Band of the Pacific for a vibrant public concert held yesterday (04 September 2026) at the Arcade Independence Square, Colombo, as part of Exercise Atlas Angel II – 2026. The programme featured Sri Lankan and American favourites, dance performances, joint performances and music developed through the shared knowledge and training sessions conducted throughout the week.

The concert highlighted the spirit of cooperation, cultural exchange and friendship developed throughout Exercise Atlas Angel II, bringing together musicians from both Air Forces on one stage and sharing this partnership with the Sri Lankan public.

The concert was open to the public free of charge and was graced by the Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Air Force Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera, Members of the Air Force Board of Management , Director Performing Arts and Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake.

Senior officials and staff members of the US Embassy in Sri Lanka, tourists, members of the Armed Forces bands and a large gathering of the public, including schoolchildren and music enthusiasts, were present to witness the concert, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the programme.
