VICE CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF OF THE INDIAN AIR FORCE CALLS ON COMMANDER OF THE SRI LANKA AIR FORCE
Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Vice Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe on 09 September 2026 at Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters.
Upon arrival, the Vice Chief of the Air Staff was received by the Commanding Officer, SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Air Commodore Buddika Piyasiri, and was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Colour Wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
The visit by the Vice Chief of the Air Staff is being undertaken at the invitation of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, with the aim of facilitating discussions on strengthening cooperation between the two air forces, joint training, technical knowledge exchange and enhancing maritime surveillance capabilities.
During the visit, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit also met with the Chief of Staff and members of the Air Force Board of Management. The visit concluded with the exchange of official plaques between the two Air Chiefs at the Commander’s Office.
