FIGHTER CONTROLLER AND LOAD MASTER BREVETS AWARDED TO SLAF PERSONNEL
The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) awarded Fighter Controller and Load Master Brevets to officers and airmen who successfully completed the required training and qualifications in their respective fields at a ceremony held at the Air Force Head Quarters.
Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, together with Director General Air Operations Air Vice Marshal Dhammika Dias, Director General Logistics Air Vice Marshal Gladwin Atapattu, Director Air Traffic Services Air Vice Marshal Nandika Salgado, distinguished invitees and senior Officers.
The Fighter Controller Brevets were awarded to Squadron Leader JMMSS Jayasinghe and Squadron Leader KTL Wijerathne, who successfully completed the Fighter Controller training at the Air Defence College, Lucknow, India, in March 2026.
The Load Master Brevets were awarded to Sergeant Lasantha Kumara HPC and Corporal Priyantha MDDM. The recipients successfully completed 50 flying hours on the Mi-17 helicopter and passed the final handling test conducted by a qualified Helicopter Instructor and the Master Load Master.
The awarding of these brevets marks the successful completion of specialised training and reflects the professionalism, dedication and commitment demonstrated by the recipients in developing their operational expertise in their respective fields.
