Soldiers, sailors or airmen are not only made for the war. They are trained and groomed to protect the motherland and also to look into the well being of the communities around them, as and when required.

With the area undergoing a water shortage, SLAF Batticaloa did what was deemed necessary and helped out by extending a basic supply of water to the residents of the area as part of  its social responsibilities.
