Major General Qian Lihua (PLA) calls on the Commander of the Air Force

A Delegation of Chinese Military Officials headed by Chief of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of Defence of the People’s Republic of China called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, yesterday morning (13th October 2011).

The delegation which comprised of six very senior Chinese Military Officers was accompanied by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, Her Excellency Yang Xiuping, the Political Secretary of the Embassy, Mr. Gong Hui and the Sri Lankan Defence Advisor in the High Commission of Sri Lanka in China, Brigadier WAM Weerasuriya.

The Commander had a discussion with the delegation on matters of mutual interest and the Director Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and Director General Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Wasantha Balasuriya joined the Commander at the discussion.

Mementos were exchanged between Major General Lihua and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force to mark this memorable occasion.
