The Sri Lanka Air Force Trade Training School Ekala (SLAF TTS Eka) conducted the grand finale of the ‘Annual Language Day’ competition on 15th November 2011 at the TTS auditorium.

The concept of a Language Day ignited in 2004 with the English Language Day. However this year this concept was taken one step further by the present Commanding Officer Group Captain Laksiri Gunawardana who expanded it into a tri-lingual competition to fully exploit and expose the trainee’s capabilities. All the trainees at TTS Ekala participated in this competition which included fields of individual singing, group singing, debating, essay writing, dictation, hand writing and drama.  

Director Training Air Vice Marshal Kishan Yahampath graced the occasion as the chief guest along with his wife and Dr. Chandra Amarasekara, Senior Consultant (on English) to the Ministry of Education, who headed the judging panel.
