SLAF Culinary Experts Sharpen Their Skills – Course No 06

No. 6 Flight Kitchen and Culinary Training Course was conducted for SLAF Mess Stewards and Caterers from 01st November 2011 to 21st November 2011 for a period of 3 weeks at the Sri Lankan Catering Services. The course was organized by SLAF Unit BIA with the guidance of Air Force Headquarters.
The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Chief Executive officer Mr. Sarath Fernando and Commanding Officer of BIA Group Captain Peterson Fernando Msc (Def Stu) in Mgt, psc. The Production Manager Mr. Pande and Executive Chef Mr. Antony conducted the programme for the SLAF personnel.
As per the course curriculum the SLAF participants were educated on subjects such as Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Bakery, Confectionery, Finger Foods, Food Safety, and Food Hygiene. This valuable course has been offered by the Sri Lankan Catering services to mark the cordial relationship it has with the SLAF.
