Passing Out Ceremony of the No 24 Basic Air Borne Course at SLAF Station Ampara

The Passing Out Ceremony of the No 24 Basic Air Borne Course was held at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Ampara with the participation of the Director Ground Operations of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal AM De Zoysa on 29th Nov 11 .

A total number of 33 Parachute Troopers,which included 29 Airmen and 4 Army Soldiers, who successfully completed the No.24 Basic Airborne Course received their Parachute Badges from the Chief Guest during the ceremony.

32468 Leading Aircraftman Jayasiri KIS (Ops Grd II) received the Trophy for the Best Parachute Jumper of the course by the Chief Guest.

Trainees of the course displayed their skills for the gathering by jumping from a Y-12 aircraft to the Station Para Dropping Zone during the ceremony. Further, instructors of the Parachute School too joined them in a Free Fall Parachute jumping display soon after.

Ceremony was made more colourful by the Drill and Band displays carried out by the Sri Lanka Air Force Regiment Colour Squadron and Band.
