In compliance with the directives of the Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force it was an initial step taken by the SLAF Academy China Bay to develop public relationship with the people who dwell in the vicinity of Air Force establishments.

The project was coordinated with the assistance of the area members of “Naharakadawath Pradeshiya Saba”   and several other area dignitaries with a view to build up a rapport between the Air Force personnel and the people of the area. Accordingly, the initial meeting was held at “Sinnampillaichinai Mosque” with the participation of a considerable crowd in the area including society leaders of Sinnampillaichinai.

The Commandant of the Academy, Air Commodore SK Pathirana,concluding the event, donated a collection of sports equipment for the volley ball players of the area as token of support towards community development. Sinnampillaichinai is vital for the SLAF as the access road to SLAF Marble Beach Holiday Resort comes across this village and this move would serve to eliminate possible misunderstanding to ensure positive inter relationship with the people of this area.
