The No 4 VVIP/VIP Helicopter Squadron of Sri Lanka Air Force celebrated its 56th anniversary yesterday (01 June 2021).

The event was marked by a Blood Donation Campaign and the Donation of Dry Rations to Sarvodaya Children’s Orphanage at Moratuwa under the leadership of Group Captain Asela Kuruwita the Commanding Officer of the No 4 Helicopter Squadron. Only a cross section of Officers and Airmen were able to take part in the events due to the present pandemic situation.

The No 4 Squadron serves the highest echelon of the country using its Bell 412/ 412EP, Bell 212, Mi-171E helicopters and has transported Heads of State, foreign delegates around the country during its 56 years of service to the nation.
