A proposal of a lucrative loan packages for SLAF personnel from state and private banks was submitted by the Board of Officers headed by Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena. Meanwhile the MoU for the loan packages (Personal, Housing and Vehicle) in which incorporated to the said proposal, submitted by the Commercial Bank, was signed today (05 May 2026) at the Air Force Headquarters.

The Chief Operations Officer of Commercial Bank, Mr. Hasrath Munasinghe signed the MoU on behalf of the Commercial Bank while Director General Welfare endorsed the MoU on behalf of the SLAF.
 
The Director Agriculture and Welfare, Air Commodore Erandika Gunawardena,  Director Legal, Group Captain  Harshani Katugampola, the Staff Officer Public Accounts Group Captain Malinga Silva attended the occasion representing the SLAF and Mr. Kapila Liyanage the Assistant General Manager Personal Banking of Commercial Bank attended the occasion with several other officials representing the Commercial Bank.
