No 02 Air Defence Radar Squadron at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Vavuniya celebrated its 6th Formation Day on 10th March, 2012.
 
The personnel of the Squadron visited the Jaya Sri Maha Bodiya at Anuradhapura along with the disabled airman (34245 AC Sanjaya SAKH Ops Grd III - who was injured during a LTTE attack on 09th of September, 2008). AC Sanjaya was also presented with a plaque/ gift pack to appreciate his bravery and service.
 
On 09th March, 2012 a Shramadana campaign was conducted at the Etambagaskada Sri Sudharmarama Viharaya /Children’s orphanage. In addition, lunch was also arranged for 70 children currently residing at the orphanage. 

In addition to the above, on 10th March 2012 the celebration began with a Working Parade and was followed by a cricket tournament and an all ranks lunch.
