SLAF Station Palaly emerged Champions in the Inter Unit Boxing championship held on 21st March to 23rd March 2012 at the SLAF Katunayake Indoor Stadium.

 SLAF Station Palaly became champions by scoring 17 points whilst SLAF Katunayake Regiment emerged Runners up with a total of 15 points and SLAF BIA  became third place by scoring 15 points.

 Aircraftman Dinesh bandara WM of SLAF Base Rathmalana was adjudged as the Best Boxer of the Championship whilst Aircraftman Udaya kumara of SLAF Station Palaly became the Best Loser.

 The President Amateur Boxing Association of Sri Lanka Mr. Aubrey Peiris graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chairman SLAF Boxing, Air Commodore Lal Perera, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake Air Commodore CR Gurusinghe, and several other officers were also present.
